Usage duration

  • Usage duration: A 10mL bottle of essential oil is designed to cover the entire use of a 500-gram box of Alura Candles, providing up to 120 hours of burn time.
  • Number of Drops: For optimal results, use approximately 3 to 5 drops of essential oil per filling of candle sand.
  • Application: Add the drops of essential oil directly onto the surface of the candle sand, placing them near the centre where the wick is located. This technique allows the heat to evenly diffuse the fragrance during burning.
  • Tip: You can adjust the number of drops according to your preference to intensify or soften the scent.

Add scents to your pearled candle

Alura Candles are completely unscented, giving you the freedom to create your own fragrance ritual. Simply add 2/3 drops of Alura’s 100% organic oil to the wick before lighting. As the candle burns, the warmth gently releases the scent: Strong enough to fill the room, yet subtle enough to never overwhelm.

Creating floating candles

All of Alura Pearls float on water. No matter if you choose colored candles or choose the pearl white version. We recommend pouring at least 4 CM of pearls on your water surface. Also make sure that the bottom of the wick doesn't touch the water for best use.

Ideally placing the wicks.

All Alura products come with at least 30 100% natural cotton wicks. Place your wick 0.5CM cm above the surface of the pearls for best use. Each wick burns for around 12 hours. You can relight the same wick or replace it between uses if you wish to refresh your candles.

What container can I use?

Fireproof containers are recommended, but it's possible to also use other containers safely as long as they're big enough. The key is to prevent the melt pool from reaching the container edge and to keep the container from heating up while burning. Generally, that means 4" minimum container width at the narrowest part for a single wick but test it carefully and make sure the container is not heating up while burning.

Can I adjust the intensity of the fragrance?

Yes, you can customise the intensity by increasing or decreasing the number of drops added, according to your preferences.
